The Cyber Security Administrator plays a crucial role in implementing, managing, and troubleshooting security measures to safeguard the network from unauthorized access, alterations, and various malicious threats.

Compensation: $80+k

Employment Type: Full-Time Cybersecurity Administrator (Hybrid model with 4 days in the office)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and evaluate security systems while monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Continuously identify vulnerabilities in hardware, software, and applications.
  • Formulate and execute security and recovery strategies for the organization’s IT framework.
  • Implement necessary upgrades and replacements in alignment with business needs.
  • Effectively respond to security incidents, investigate their origins, and research preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure optimal security protocols are maintained.
  • Report potential threats, suggested enhancements, and ongoing security concerns to senior management.
  • Keep servers updated with the latest security patches and ensure appropriate defenses are established for each network resource.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Identify and mitigate threats while developing disaster recovery strategies.
  • Create and oversee policies governing the use of network resources.
  • Monitor network traffic and logs for any suspicious activities.
  • Engage in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent work experience.
  • Two to five years of relevant experience in information technology.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and computing infrastructures.
  • Proven skills in network operations and performance analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with technical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with server management and monitoring tools.
  • Experience with Crowdstrike, Citrix, MCSE, MCSA, ZScaler, Azure Sentinel, Conditional Access Policies, and patch management.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound judgment.
