Job Summary

Our client, located in Nashville, TN, is hiring bilingual Customer Service Representative for the Call Center of the Customer Service Division at Metro Water Services (MWS). This position involves assisting customers by responding to phone inquiries, resolving billing or service issues, processing requests, and maintaining information in various Customer Service Information Systems.


Responsibilities

  • Assist residential and commercial customers with new service, transfer of service, and termination of service requests
  • Calculate required deposits for new service and determine if fees are due from prior service by researching customer account history
  • Maintain customer accounts by determining balances, reconciling accounts, making adjustments if necessary, and devising payment arrangements when appropriate
  • Resolve difficult and complex customer service problems through web-based communication channels or by phone
  • Utilize various computer software systems to enter and manage information
  • Research records with NES and other MWS and Metro departments/divisions
  • Compose letters, memoranda, notices, and related documents to resolve customer account and service issues, inquiries from other MWS divisions, and inquiries from other Metro departments
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, and research returned mail


Requirements

  • Must be bilingual, Spanish/English
  • High School Diploma
  • 4+ years of Customer Service experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
