Job Description:
Our client located in the just north of Providence has an immediate opening for a Desktop Support Specialist to join their team. The Desktop Support Specialist will be accountable for the configuration, installation, upgrading, support and repair of workforce hardware and software.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares workforce hardware and software products for distribution. This include desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Build packages from scratch in SCCM
- Build collections in SCCM (both User and Machine based collections)
- Schedule Deployments with SCCM
- Publish Software to Software Center in SCCM
- Research, plan, develop and implement desktop, laptop, and mobile hardware and software solutions to support business needs.
- Conduct hardware and software asset management. Including asset tracking, scanning, and tagging.
- Work both independently and part of an Agile team to manage and execute work.
Required
- SCCM expert
- Basic SQL Querying experience
- Understanding of enterprise desktop and mobile hardware platforms, especially PC/Windows
- Understanding of Asset Management concepts for desktop support/engineering.
- Experience using PowerShell for desktop related task automation.
- Familiarity with Remedy or ServiceNow, team is moving from Remedy to ServiceNow currently
- Intermediate with PowerShell Scripting, know how to write scripts
- Experience with Dell Systems (Tech Direct)
- Soft Skills: be on time, dependable, team player, customer focused and out of the box thinker
Preferred:
- Experience supporting MAC
- Intune Experience
- LEAN Methodology
- Experience using JAMF for MAC OS deployments and updates
- Familiarity with Jira
- Any level of automation experience
