The Training & Development Manager, reporting to the VP of Training & Compliance, will assist in building, maintaining, and improving the training systems across Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers, as well as Brakes Plus. This individual will oversee new training content development, including all video and audio production, as well as maintaining and improving the interface within ExpressTrain, EOC’s custom career development system, and Absorb, our current LMS used across all of our brands. The TDM will create reports that assist Vice Presidents, Area Directors, and Training Center Directors with ensuring compliance in all aspects of training.


Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):


  • Leading the design, development, pilot, delivery, and evaluation of innovative learning and capability development solutions that support EOCTE & BP professionals' performance and growth
  • Defining and executing learning and development strategies in collaboration with executive leadership, senior leaders, and cross-functional people operations stakeholders
  • Work directly with subject matter experts to draft policy & process guidelines
  • Align project teams and stakeholders to implement highly effective and innovative training solutions, including digitized content, individualized learning paths, and development in the flow of work
  • Provide functional expertise to identify, research, and resolve complex problems
  • Create, assemble, test and maintain training content on the SAP Litmos LMS and its like systems
  • Work with Training Administrator to capture professional quality video and audio of all approved meetings (Manager, RVP/RM, etc.)
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite to edit, assemble, and produce multimedia content
  • Maintaining the Absorb LMS database, including running custom reports and track eLearning compliance for all employees


Position Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field is highly preferred
  • Experience with Absorb or other similar LMS highly preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in a comparable function
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Experience with online content curation (Blogs, Websites, eLearning)
  • Exceptionally strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Professional experience with various software packages, including Premiere, Photoshop, Captivate, After Affects, etc.
  • Strong computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook); SQL experience is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and to complete assignments to high standards
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet hard deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer-service oriented
