Summary

The Continuous Improvement Leader enhances processes and infrastructure to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity. You will be meeting with internal stakeholders, leadership and employees to identify and discuss key manufacturing operations processes that require improvement. The ideal candidate will deploy process improvement methods and focus on continuous improvement. Guide and train team of continuous improvement stakeholders to support business goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Leads Lean manufacturing initiatives which includes leading small group activities and Kaizen events for measurable improvement productivity.
  • Identifies and shares best practices across the different departments
  • Facilitate a culture of Lean thinkers and sustain operational excellence initiatives.
  • Leading problem-solving activities for production, using root cause analysis
  • Driving, planning and implementing improvement plans in process, methods of work, digitization, and technology infrastructure.
  • Facilitating cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement projects and manage changes.
  • Enhancing employee engagement through the implementation of Lean culture and providing relevant training on Lean methodologies.
  • Promoting profitable growth by developing and implementing Lean methodologies.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5 years of experience working in manufacturing operations environments
  • Due to ITAR restrictions, candidates must be a US Citizen or have their Green Card (Permanent Resident) to be considered.
  • Knowledge and experience in facilitating session using concepts, such as LEAN, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, actively listening, facilitating, challenging, communicating, and motivating multifunctional teams and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a relevant discipline, adaptable to change, and quick to learn.
  • Strong drive for operational excellence and business results, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel to Novanta locations, up to 20%


Physical Requirements

  • Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.
  • Ability to use vison to read computer screen and read printed materials.
