Job Summary: The Junior Construction Project Manager will assist in overseeing and coordinating various aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves working closely with senior project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Assist in planning and scheduling project timelines, tasks, and resources. Coordinate daily activities on-site and ensure that all work complies with design specifications and safety regulations.
  • Budget Management: Help track project expenses and maintain budget records. Assist in managing procurement and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers. Facilitate meetings and provide regular project updates.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work performed and ensure adherence to project standards and specifications. Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports. Prepare reports and documentation for project meetings.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify potential issues or risks and propose solutions to address them. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any on-site problems.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • [1-2] years of experience in construction project management or a related role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Open to traveling 20-30% domestically.


Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations specific to the local area.
  • Experience with cost estimating and budgeting.
