Your Role
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing a diverse range of projects, which may include:
- Private and public sector initiatives
- Office, retail, hospitality, commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments
- Local governmental projects
We seek a candidate with a strong foundation in civil/site engineering, who has experience in leading project delivery processes. This includes marketing, client interaction, project management, and hands-on design supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Attracting and securing new clients and projects.
- Leading project-related meetings and presentations.
- Coordinating with clients, team members, and sub-consultants while preparing detailed scope and fee proposals.
- Conducting planning phase activities, including project feasibility assessments and civil engineering input.
- Directing all aspects of civil engineering design, including layout, grading, drainage, and erosion control.
- Preparing comprehensive submission packages, cost estimates, and project schedules.
- Overseeing construction phase support services, including contract documents and field inspections.
- Monitoring project progress, budgets, and staffing, while keeping clients informed of developments.
- Recruiting and developing new staff.
- Implementing QA/QC plans for projects.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A proven track record of successful projects and a strong network within the civil engineering community.
- Experience in both private and public sector projects.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- A strong understanding of civil engineering design and regulatory processes.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD and Civil3D.
Education and Experience
The candidate must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in civil/site or land development engineering.
- A Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
