Your Opportunity
We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary office in South Florida. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of civil/site design projects, collaborating with clients and government agencies, and working effectively with a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Development
- Develop and lead the development of civil/site design projects, including site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and details.
- Utilize advanced techniques for the analysis of specialized civil elements.
- Participate in client project requirement meetings and value analysis, and basic cost estimating.
- Project Coordination
- Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors.
- Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
- Quality Assurance and Control
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects.
- Assist in the development of new standards and specifications for the civil group.
- Business Development
- Participate in business development activities, including client management and business development.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability to perform all aspects of design (grading, streets, water, sewer, storm drain, hydrology, erosion control, etc.) with an emphasis on technical and project delivery excellence.
- Sound knowledge of industry practice and demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service.
- Experience with both private and public sector clients/projects.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral, written and graphic communication skills, including computer literacy in Civil3D, Hydrology / Hydraulic design software, MS Office.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the profession of Civil Engineering civil/site design.
- Registered Professional Engineer in FL or ability to obtain within 6 months.
