Job Summary
Within an assigned territory, the Sales Manager is responsible for managing one or more areas
where designers are actively in the field. This role involves training and hiring designers,
managing and holding designers accountable to meet their monthly goals, and taking price
approval calls. The Sales Manager ensures overall compliance and execution of the Company
model and takes appropriate corrective action as necessary. Additionally, they empower their
teams to lead the day-to-day management of their Sales Designers, focusing on customer
experience, employee engagement, training and hiring, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the company vision and mission statements, overseeing and directing sales activities
to achieve goals within multiple assigned territories.
- Establish daily, weekly, and monthly goals, monitoring and coaching the sales team to follow
the model and achieve established sales targets.
- Train and hire new designers, providing ongoing support and development.
- Maintain excellent communication between Designers and Sales Management to encourage
collaboration as Designer personnel engage in daily sales leads.
- Refocus attention on all unsold leads and assist in the formulation of plans to secure final
sales for the Company.
- Reward and recognize behaviors that drive results and contribute to the Brand Talent pipeline.
- Identify and suggest improvements in areas of opportunity to strengthen sales, revenue, and
closing ratio performance.
- Develop and complete sales activity logs and sales revenue reports.
- Facilitate training in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Direct involvement in recruitment activities, including pre-screens, interviews, and job offers.
- Stay abreast of competitor information in designated territories and remain updated on industry trends. Provide feedback to the management team regarding trends and opportunities.
- Ensure that all requested sales reports are accurate, detailed, and submitted within the desired
timeframe.
- Take price approval calls to assist designers in the field with pricing decisions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a management capacity of sales or training.
- Strong competitive sales drive, adaptability, and perseverance required.
- Excellent listening skills and a problem-solving attitude to uncover needs and motivations to
overcome objections and close sales.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Experience working with consumers a big plus
- Ability to work flexible work hours required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work full-time in an office setting and be actively involved in the field as needed.
