Business Analyst - IT Systems


Duration - Initial 3 Month Contract (potential for extension)

Location - Remote (MUST be a Colorado Resident)

Pay Rate - $50-55/Hour


Responsibilities:


  • Gather business requirements from users and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Document business processes and provide recommendations based on best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison between the business and IT teams, including QA, testing, and developers.
  • Translate business needs into clear and effective requirements statements.
  • Assess the business impact of requested and ongoing systems improvements.
  • Participate in project teams to ensure implementations meet business needs and optimize process and system integration.
  • Collaborate on enterprise-level project teams to identify and implement process and system improvements.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and assess their priority.
  • Determine the appropriate course of action for new requests: immediate resolution through existing functionality, support request for quick implementation, or inclusion in a larger project.
  • Leverage experience in business processes for IT systems, including business case development, requirements gathering, gap analysis, process mapping, solution design, and support.


Requirements:


  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a business analyst, with a focus on enterprise applications and IT systems.
  • Desired expertise in business processes within Accounting and Billing, Finance/Controlling, HR/Benefits/Payroll, Procurement, Contract Management, Quality Assurance, and Legal/Regulatory areas.
  • Experience in business case development, requirements gathering and definition, gap analysis, process mapping, and solution design.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Visio and PowerPoint for creating workflow diagrams, process flows, and other visual representations of gathered information.
