Job duties include:
- Under the direction of President, research market conditions of targeted client industries in local, regional, and national areas in support of company’s business development in providing high-end IT software development and management consulting services.
- Gather information to determine potential needs and requirements for IT and consulting services at targeted client companies, and plan marketing or advertising campaign. Gather and analyze information on competitors, pricing, sales, and methods of marketing.
- Apply search marketing tactics, analyze web metrics, and develop recommendations to increase company awareness and visibility to targeted clients.
- Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text. Collect and analyze data on client preferences, service needs, and project details to identify potential markets and factors affecting service demand.
- Conduct research on client opinions and marketing strategies, collaborating with marketing professionals, statisticians, and other professionals.
- Measure and assess client and employee satisfaction. Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting marketing data, such as surveys, meetings, questionnaires, etc., or arrange to obtain relevant data. Measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies.
- Seek and provide information to help management adjust service position in the marketplace. Forecast and track marketing and sales trends, analyzing collected data. Monitor industry statistics and follow sales trends in trade literature. Provide management with information and proposals concerning the promotion, implementation, and pricing of IT and consulting services provided. Conduct survey interviews. Develop and implement procedures for identifying advertising needs.
- Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely-related field, plus at least 6 months of relevant work experience in market research, business development, client communications, and employee placement in the IT industry.
