Our client, an omnichannel fashion accessories brand, is hiring a Sports Wholesale Account Manager to join their team in New York City on a hybrid schedule (4 days in office). Ideal Candidates must have experience working with sports licenses such as the MLB, NFL and NHL – to name a few – and be willing and able to travel for client meetings, industry events, and to visit retail locations as needed.


Job Duties Include:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned territory and account with the objective of achieving sales targets
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at retail accounts, including buyers and store owners
  • Identify opportunities for new opportunities within existing accounts
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and market trends
  • Conduct business reviews with clients to evaluate performance, gather feedback and address challenges
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale with clients
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, product demonstrations, and promotional programs to clients
  • Utilize sales data and market insights to analyze performance, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies
  • Provide reports to management on sales performance, market dynamics, customer feedback, etc.


Job Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in sales, account management, or business development within the sports industry
  • Experience in wholesale or distribution preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel regularly to meet with clients, attend industry events, and visit retail locations as needed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software; experience with sales analytics tools and ERP systems preferred


Salary: $100-125K + bonus
