King and Bishop is partnering with this Global Medical Device Company, seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager, Payroll and Benefits to oversee and manage our North American payroll and benefit programs. In this hands-on role, you’ll ensure the accurate and timely administration of payroll, compliance with regulations, and effective management of benefits for our employees in the U.S. and Canada.


Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management:

  • Oversee and maintain payroll data entry and accuracy in systems like ADP and HCM.
  • Develop and document payroll processes and procedures.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for payroll system implementations and upgrades.
  • Handle payroll compliance and audits, ensuring accurate tax calculations and adherence to regulations.
  • Communicate with employees about payroll changes and policies.

Benefits Administration:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of North American benefit programs, including health coverage, retirement plans, and more.
  • Manage relationships with benefit brokers and vendors.
  • Conduct benefits reviews and provide analytics on enrollment and costs.
  • Develop and implement wellness programs.
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, and other regulations.
  • Oversee employee communications regarding benefits, including annual open enrollment presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration for a company of approximately 500 employees.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll practices, including California payroll practices.
  • Proficiency with ADP Payroll and benefits platforms.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with HR and other teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
