Responsibilities:

  • Align network operations with organizational objectives under the guidance of the IT Manager.
  • Manage the installation, configuration, and support of network devices including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Optimize network efficiency and security by configuring firewalls, routing, and switching.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Promptly address network faults, diagnosing and resolving hardware or software issues.
  • Respond to help desk tickets submitted by end-users and provide effective support.
  • Document solutions and resolutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Manage procurement of network equipment and oversee subcontractors for network installation projects.
  • Occasionally travel to other local facilities to provide support as needed.
  • Assist with additional systems administration tasks as required.


Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Information Technology, Network Security, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in network administration, network engineering, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in configuring switches, firewalls, and routers.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies.
  • Experience with VMware environments and network operations.
  • Proven ability to manage, troubleshoot, and maintain complex network systems.
  • Familiarity with hardware components (desktops, laptops, tablets, workstations).
  • Understanding of PC internal components (drives, cards, memory upgrades).
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to address technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Network Security, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of NIST/CMMC frameworks.
  • Certifications such as A+ or Microsoft MC are a bonus.
