Role Description

This full-time Transportation Customer Sales role requires a self-motivated individual who works well in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibility of this role is to sell transportation services across various modes and build relationships with clients to develop business opportunities. This is a hybrid role that requires some in-office work at our Hammond, IN office and provides flexibility for remote work.

Qualifications
  • Sales Skills: Candidate should possess strong customer service skills and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Communication Skills: Candidate should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with clients, carriers and internal team members.
  • Training and Analytical Skills: Candidate should be able to identify client logistics and transportation needs, and provide a customized approach to fulfill those needs.
  • Ability to Work in a Team: Candidate must be able to work collaboratively across various departments, including dispatch, operations, and accounting teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Transportation Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the transportation industry with an understanding of logistics, dispatch, and freight management is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree: In Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Self-motivated: Candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
