  • Assist the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Safety Office with various tasks:
    • Support the development, implementation, and execution of MDS safety policies, requirements, and programs.
    • Maintain safety records.
    • Review documents to ensure compliance with safety policies and requirements.
    • Maintain Hazard Tracking System data.
    • Evaluate safety documentation, system design, and baseline changes.
  • Be involved in program reviews, safety audits, and milestone reviews, among others.
  • Participate in safety audits, safety risk assessments, and other safety analysis.
  • Provide test planning support and verification/validation, ensuring safety concerns are addressed.
  • Assist in the development of safety documentation for testing and/or fielding of a system.
  • Support fielding activities for Foreign Military Sales.
  • Take on any other duties assigned by your Supervisor.
  • Do you have what it takes? Here's what we require:
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in system safety engineering.
    • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a scientific field with five (5) years of relevant experience in system safety engineering.
  • What skills and experience will help you succeed?
    • Experience in safety processes during the design, development, use, and maintenance of safety-critical systems.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to develop and present safety assessments effectively.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a Secret Clearance.
