Key Responsibilities
The Aerospace Systems Engineer will support the Aircraft Carriers Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH) program within the Combat Systems Integration Department.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the resolution of integration challenges related to aviation support systems.
- Supporting ship checks for aviation support systems.
- Developing and reviewing technical drawings for aviation support systems.
- Conducting reviews of Ship Change Documents (SCDs) related to aviation systems.
- Reviewing ship installation drawings (SIDs) for aviation systems.
- Evaluating installation documentation for aviation support systems.
- Assisting in the creation of availability work packages (AWP) for aviation systems.
- Addressing additional requirements related to aviation support systems.
About the Role
Candidates should possess a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in General Surface Navy Combat Systems engineering, with at least five (5) years in one or more of the following areas:
- Investigating and resolving operational issues within combat systems to enhance performance.
- Developing methodologies, models, or simulations for engineering assessments of Aegis Weapon System (AWS)/Aegis Combat System (ACS) performance, including data analysis and simulation maintenance.
- Establishing quality assurance and configuration management procedures for combat system elements.
- Defining, designing, developing, testing, and integrating computer programs.
- Documenting and maintaining combat system element-level and associated computer programs.
- Developing and maintaining multi-element test plans and procedures.
- Exploring new engineering capabilities for Carriers, Amphibious, and/or Aegis ships.
- Engaging in design engineering for Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), ABMD, AWS, and/or ACS enhancements.
- Focusing on human systems integration engineering and system safety.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

- Previous U.S. Navy Active Duty experience in Senior Enlisted or Officer roles.
- Experience in developing and maintaining Test and Certification schedules.
