Additional job details:

  • Salaried position with annual bonus potential. Compensation determined by experience level.
  • Occasional travel required on a quarterly basis.
  • This is a full-time remote position. Candidates on CST time zone are preferred, but flexible on location based on experience. Must have flexibility in work schedule, as the role will be supporting business leaders across all time zones.
Responsibilities:

Project Management with collaboration with Leadership team:

  • Lead and manage business development projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer needs.
  • Coordinate project activities, resources, and stakeholders to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement strategies to mitigate challenges and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on project status and performance metrics.

School District and Special Education Experience

  • Utilize previous experience as an educator or administrator within school districts to understand their unique challenges, priorities, and requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school district leaders, educators, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership.
  • Leverage insights from the education field to inform business development strategies, product development, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of special education programs, interventions, and best practices to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with educators and experts in special education to develop tailored solutions that address the unique requirements of students with disabilities.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, research, and legislation related to special education to inform decision-making and program development.

Sales Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with sales representatives, account managers, and other stakeholders to align business development initiatives with sales strategies and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects, manage the sales process from lead generation to closure, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to sales teams on educational products, market trends, and customer needs to drive sales success.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the sales team to achieve collective goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • 2 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the education sector.
  • Prior experience as an educator, clinician or administrator in school districts is highly preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of district funding, RFP requirement and contracting.
  • Strong understanding of special education principles and practices.
  • Experience in academic intervention, including high-dosage tutoring, drop-out prevention, and educational program supports.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented mindset focusing on achieving revenue targets and driving business growth.
