Fiesta Sports Foundation is a non-profit entity that champions college football and community involvement through iconic events that celebrate the spirit of competition, culture, and charity.
Renowned for hosting the Fiesta Bowl, one of college football's premier bowl games, and a series of associated events, our mission is to contribute to the vibrancy of our community, provide memorable experiences, and make a positive impact through our charitable endeavors.
Role Summary:
The Community Relations Seasonal Associate will assist with events and initiatives related to Fiesta Bowl Charities.
This role will assist in the organization and execution of community outreach programs designed to strengthen community ties and promote charitable activities.
Additionally, the associate will engage directly with community members and stakeholders to foster relationships that enhance ongoing and future outreach efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Community Relations team in the planning and execution of a wide range of community events and volunteer opportunities, including educational initiatives, legacy projects and team engagement events. This includes contributing to diverse programs such as Wishes for Teachers, Teacher Appreciation Events, Spirit's Birthday, community volunteer opportunities and charitable raffles.
- Manage the community events calendar.
- Assist in coordinating and managing the scheduling and appearances of the foundation's mascot to enhance event experiences and community engagement.
- Oversee donation requests for silent auction items, managing the fulfillment process with community partners.
- Assist in the creation of written content for organization's publications, including but not limited to newsletters and press release information.
- Support donation of game tickets to Arizonabased nonprofit organizations and the process with which tickets are distributed.
- In addition to the responsibilities outlined, this role requires flexibility to adapt to evolving organizational needs, undertake tasks beyond those listed, and contribute to projects as they arise, ensuring the team's objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Availability of additional hours during event periods, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.
- Experience with event planning and or working for a nonprofit preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Experience with projects requiring attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt, multitask and work as a team under tight deadlines.
- Ability to effectively perform the listed responsibilities and tasks with or without reasonable accommodations.
