Role

This is a full-time position, and the working hours will be negotiated. Attendance is required during holiday periods. A leave purchase allowance will be paid fortnightly, along with an entitlement to 4 weeks of annual leave, typically taken during school holidays. The Facilities Manager is in charge of maintaining grounds and buildings, ensuring Occupational Health and Safety regulations are met, and collaborating with the Business Manager and Principal team to ensure compliance with Asset Information Management System (AIMS), Essential Safety Measures (ESM), and other requirements.

An education support class role at this level involves management responsibilities for service delivery, directing and supervising the work of other staff members, and meeting specific objectives in school administration, operations, or educational programs.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate excellent communication skills with students, parents, staff, and providersUnlock and open college facilities dailyPlan and implement AIMS and ESM Program requirementsSupervise maintenance, grounds work, and contracted servicesCoordinate onsite contractors, conduct inductions, and ensure complianceManage the school's relationship with cleaning contractorsParticipate in facilities meetings and trainingMaintain mechanical and electrical systems, arrange equipment servicingUse AIMS for compliance managementParticipate in OHS inspections and emergency managementMonitor security, maintenance requests, and prioritize urgent tasksOversee daily maintenance tasks and grounds upkeepIdentify and report equipment renewal needs, implement projectsOther duties as directed
