Job Title: Administrative Assistant - Health Services

Join our team as an Administrative Assistant in the Family Health Services group at Crook County Health Department. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our community members have access to quality healthcare by supporting various clinic operations.Job Responsibilities:
  • Front Desk Reception: answer phones, greet clients, schedule appointments, and provide general clerical support
  • Client Reception: assist clients with paperwork, schedule appointments, and provide necessary information
  • WIC Reception: handle WIC check-ins, transfers, and educate clients on food packages
  • General Reception: answer phone calls, check-in clients, and provide assistance with paperwork
  • Medicaid Match Coordinator: collaborate with the finance team, submit reports, and ensure timely reimbursements
  • Vital Records - Deputy Registrar: process vital documents and liaise with funeral homes
  • Office Administration: manage supplies, maintain records, and assist with various office tasks
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma with 4 years of office experience
  • Experience in medical reception or billing
  • Proficiency in electronic health records systems
  • Strong customer service skills

Work Environment:This position operates in a professional office setting utilizing standard office equipment.
Physical Demands:This role involves some filing and occasional lifting of office supplies up to 25 pounds.
Position Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Required Education:High School Diploma and experience in a similar field
Preferred Education:Associate's Degree in a related field and familiarity with EPIC system
Additional Requirements:
  • Valid Oregon driver's license
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug test
  • Compliance with healthcare safety regulations
