Job Description and Duties

THIS IS A POSITION REQUIRING BILINGUAL - SPANISH SKILLS; PASSING A FLUENCY EXAMINATION IN SPANISH IS MANDATORY.

If you enjoy assisting diverse individuals and have a knack for aiding people, we are searching for an adaptable, self-motivated, innovative, and customer-centric individual to aid customers and collaborate closely with local partners at the America's Job Center of California. As an Employment Program Representative (EPR) under supervision, you will endorse the services and programs of the Employment Development Department (EDD) and Workforce Services (WS) through various service delivery methods such as self-service, facilitated self-help, and staff-assisted services, offering job search and employer services.

  • The Workforce Services Branch (WSB) helps achieve EDD's objectives by linking customers to a wide array of employment and training services in partnership with various organizations, state, and local governments across multiple America's Job Center of CaliforniaSM sites. With work being a crucial aspect of our lives, WSB acknowledges the significance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance and offers a hybrid work environment with telecommuting opportunities. This role may involve traveling or being stationed in another office within the Cluster.

According to the Governor's Office of California, the Employment Development Department is a vital entity. While local in-person work is essential for this role, some remote work options may be available. The office associated with this position adheres to safety protocols recommended by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Working Conditions

Providing customer service in an office setting. Some travel, including overnight stays, might be necessary.
