About the Position:
We are currently looking for a highly qualified Of Counsel - Employment Litigation Attorney to work in a hybrid capacity. This role presents a unique opportunity for an accomplished employment attorney with a robust background in labor law and significant experience in managing litigation to provide strategic legal counsel on various employment and labor law matters. As a vital member of our organization, you will represent and advise on complex litigation cases and employment disputes, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
Work Schedule:
**2 days remote and 3 days in the office**
**Billable requirement is 1850, with bonuses for those exceeding 1900**
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary attorney in employment litigation cases, addressing wage and hour disputes, discrimination claims, wrongful termination, and harassment issues.
- Provide strategic legal advice on a comprehensive range of employment and labor law matters.
- Draft and evaluate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Represent the organization in court, arbitration, and mediation settings.
- Oversee all litigation phases, including discovery, depositions, and trial proceedings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to establish and implement best practices for compliance with employment and labor laws.
- Stay informed on current and emerging labor and employment law trends and regulations, advising the organization accordingly.
- Design and conduct training programs on employment law topics for management and staff.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.
- Over 10 years of experience as an employment attorney, particularly in employment litigation, with proven first-chair experience.
- Class Action/PAGA experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Admission to the California state bar.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment and labor laws and regulations.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to resolve intricate disputes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
