Job Title: Desktop Support
Location: La Porte, TX
Job Role:
- Provide transition program capabilities including knowledge transfer, process and procedure improvement, service & project management, technology and infrastructure oversight, and contract/vendor coordination
- Create and update run-books
- Ensure timely delivery of client requirements and report to head of field services
- Manage stakeholder expectations and address gaps proactively
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple customers simultaneously
- Offer 1st line IT support services to the business community
- Handle infrastructure administration tasks
- Provide on-site and out-of-hours support as needed
- Backup and restore settings, and perform systems administration activities
- Resolve issues and train staff on hardware/software/tools
- Other duties as assigned
Technical Skills:
- Integrate ITSM solutions for ticket creation and site services support
- Handle user IT infrastructure, Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems, and business productivity applications
- Knowledge of troubleshooting software issues and managing Active Directory
- Categorize and prioritize end user support requests
- Deskside Level 2 troubleshooting and leadership experience
- Interact with customers and cross-functional teams
- Self-starter and able to work independently
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Engineering degree with relevant certifications
- 5-10 years of End User support experience including VIP support
- Installation and configuration of desktop/laptop/printer/server/networks
- Certified Windows Administration and strong Microsoft Office skills
- Strong customer handling and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with team management experience
- Background security check required
Working Relationships:
- Maintain relationships to resolve client issues
- Communicate effectively with service providers and IT infrastructure groups
- Develop and maintain communication with organization and customer teams
