Overview:

The Assistant General Manager plays a key role in driving hotel profitability through sales, cost management, guest satisfaction, and staff development, while upholding the hotel's standards.

Salary: $70,000 Yearly

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to hotel sales efforts by engaging with top accounts, clients, and on-site contacts regularly.
  • Supervise daily operations, conduct staff meetings and training sessions, and ensure financial goals are met on schedule.
  • Oversee budgeting, manage department productivity, and mentor future leaders through training programs.
  • Ensure all departments maintain service standards, cleanliness, and guest interactions in line with Highgate Hotel policies.
  • Participate in recruitment, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives.
  • Inspect facilities, manage finances, and forecast the hotel's financial position monthly.
  • Handle management interviews, hiring processes, and maintain compliance with hotel standards.
  • Take part in client meetings, support sales efforts, and maintain hotel operations during peak hours.
  • Implement hotel safety and credit policies, monitor safe operations, and lead credit meetings.

Qualifications:

  • 5-6 years of progressive hotel experience, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills, with a focus on guest and employee satisfaction.
  • Attendance at hotel meetings and trainings, compliance with standards, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle complex information, and ensure efficient hotel operations.
