Silgan Unicep is looking for a passionate and highly motivated HR Generalist. As a people partner, you will be the key HR contact and the face of the HR department for the hourly employees at our Spokane, WA and Sandpoint, ID plants. In addition to directly supporting our employees, you are the liaison between our Line Managers and our third-party HR support, acting as the first point of contact for all employee relations and general HR inquiries.

What You Will Do

Provide coaching and counsel to employees, managers and front-line leaders on employee relations and performance management issue. Provide policy and procedure guidance to employees and management. Manage end-to-end recruitment process for hourly roles. Manage new employee on-boarding and orientation. Conduct investigations and recommend corrective action if necessary. Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 - 3 years' work experience in an HR role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in handling sensitive employee relations issues.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience with manufacturing manpower planning.
