The CalSTRS Retirement Readiness Division is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join as an Associate Governmental Program Analyst, with the possibility of being considered for Staff Services Analyst role, part of the Training Services Team.
The Retirement Readiness Division is the core of the organization responsible for developing, offering, and coordinating educational services to CalSTRS members, employers, and staff. Their aim is to ensure all members receive timely and accurate information to make informed decisions about their benefits.

They seek a dedicated individual for the position of Training and Educational Analyst to ensure all staff are equipped to support CalSTRS' members.
Working under the guidance of the Pension Program Manager I, Training Services, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst will be responsible for conducting advanced research, analysis, design, development, evaluation, and delivery of training for members, support staff, and Benefits Specialists. The role may involve up to 25% travel.
The ideal candidate should have the following skills:
- Basic understanding of mathematics and proficiency in calculations such as averages, decimals, formulas, and percentages
- Readiness to travel for trainings and meetings
- Experience in presenting to audiences of diverse sizes
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced setting

Job duties will be modified at the Staff Services Analyst level.
Performance evaluations are conducted every 12 months, with the potential for a 5% salary increase until reaching the maximum salary for the position.
Telework Information: The role offers a hybrid model combining in-office and remote work arrangements, with employees expected to be on-site at the West Sacramento Headquarters 2-3 days a week.

Working Conditions
All CalSTRS staff are State of California employees and are subject to California employment taxes and withholdings. Upon hiring, employees must provide a current California address to be used as a remote work location by CalSTRS Human Resources.
This position does not qualify for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment at CalSTRS.
