Position Overview:
The Capital Projects Financial Analyst will deliver expert technical, financial, and budgetary assistance to the Facilities Planning and Management (FPM) unit as well as the Senior Leadership at UC Agriculture and Natural Resources, specifically in relation to Capital Programs.
This role is essential for conducting in-depth analysis on a diverse array of budgetary, financial, and resource allocation matters pertinent to capital planning, construction, and maintenance initiatives.
Utilizing advanced professional principles and organizational goals, the analyst will creatively and effectively address complex challenges. The position involves working on intricate issues where a thorough examination of various factors is necessary. The analyst will exercise discretion in selecting appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve desired outcomes.
The responsibilities include processing invoices, developing and overseeing departmental and project budgets, preparing comprehensive reports, and updating both tabular and graphical data for financial forecasting and planning.
The analyst will interpret and adhere to UC policies and procedures concerning budgeting and expenditures related to capital construction, maintenance, and professional agreements.
This position requires close collaboration with colleagues from ANR Financial Services, Resource Planning and Management, Research and Extension Centers, and the Business Operation Center. Interactions will involve both internal and external stakeholders.
This is a career position that is entirely fixed.
The role is classified as a Financial Analyst 4, although candidates with experience may be considered for a Financial Analyst 3 position.
While the primary location for this role is in Davis, CA, there is an option for hybrid flexible work arrangements for candidates residing in California, subject to change by the University.
Compensation:
Financial Analyst 3 - $71,100.00/year to $128,700.00/year
Financial Analyst 4 - $87,300.00/year to $125,300.00/year
This position will support the achievement of the Affirmative Action objectives established by the Division.
