Job Summary

The University of California-Davis is seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Analyst 2 to join our team in the Department of Public Health Sciences. As a Medical Records Analyst 2, you will play a critical role in providing administrative and programmatic support to our Medical Surveillance Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Records Analysis and Processing
    • Accurately record and report client/patient medical results
    • Utilize electronic medical records to provide occupational health services
    • Perform data entry and maintenance of medical records
  • Operational and Client Service Support
    • Provide exceptional customer service to state, city, county, and other government agencies
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet the mission and goals of the unit
    • Assist with clinical screenings and provide support as needed
  • Other Duties
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Associates degree in a related field or equivalent experience
    • Demonstrated experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical setting
    • Experience working with electronic medical records
    • Experience recording laboratory results and other medical data input
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills
    • Excellent time management, discernment, and decision-making skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid California Driver's License
Work Environment
  • This position is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation
  • Must be able to work occasional overtime
  • Must be able to travel with mobile clinic to screening sites and work in confined areas as needed
