Job Overview and Responsibilities

The Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) is seeking to recruit for a permanent, full-time Staff Services Analyst (SSA) position within the Basic Training Bureau.

POST may also consider candidates for the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) level.

This role involves a variety of responsibilities, including providing analytical support to both internal teams and external partners. You will be expected to plan, organize, and facilitate various meetings and workshops, while also assessing legislative modifications that impact basic training initiatives.

Work Environment

This position is based at POST headquarters. The office is situated in a modern business park setting, featuring a two-story building.

Consistent and regular attendance is essential for the successful execution of this role.

Essential Qualifications

A background check is mandatory.

A comprehensive Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) must be submitted alongside your application. Failure to provide the SOQ will result in disqualification from the interview process.

The SOQ should be formatted on 8 1/2 x 11 paper using 12-point Arial font, including your full name and the date at the top. It should not exceed two pages in length.

This position requires strong analytical capabilities and a thorough understanding of complex regulatory and statutory frameworks that govern many of the Basic Training Bureau's programs.

Key Responsibilities Include:
