If you are passionate about ensuring aircraft return to service in an airworthy condition, this position is for you. As a Senior Airworthiness Inspector at GAC Van Nuys, you will play a crucial role in physically inspecting aircraft and components, ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with aviation standards.
Unique Skills:

Compensation Range:
$44.13 to $48.78 per Hour
Final compensation will be determined based on various factors including qualifications, skills, and experience.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 years of aircraft/component inspection experience with at least 3 years on large or mid-size aircraft
- Airframe and Powerplant License
Position Purpose:
The Senior Airworthiness Inspector is responsible for conducting quality control inspections on aircraft and components, ensuring FAA compliance and accurate documentation.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Perform quality control inspections on aircraft and components
- Ensure repairs and alterations conform to FAA approved data
- Coordinate requirements during maintenance
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Conduct audits of maintenance documentation
- Ensure airworthiness of aircraft/components
Additional Functions:
Assist in training Airworthiness Inspectors, monitor repair station compliance, and perform FAA conformity checks.
Other Requirements:
- Proficiency in Federal Aviation Regulations
- Strong communication and prioritization skills
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret maintenance manuals
- Familiarity with FAA certification processes
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word
- Minimum 20 WPM typing speed
- Proficiency in English
