Job Summary
Amtec Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Inspector to join our team. As a Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of complex manufactured parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of manufactured parts to verify conformance to specifications and engineering drawings.
- Operate various inspection equipment, including CMM, microscopes, and optical comparators, to measure and verify dimensions and geometric tolerances.
- Work with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality assurance standards to determine acceptance of products.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes and quality standards.
- Assist in supporting customer audits and maintain the highest ethical and quality standards.
- Document quality records, first article and dimensional reports, and job status using computers.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of mechanical inspection experience.
- Two-year technical degree or Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI) preferred.
- Certified Green Belt (CSSGB) or Quality Inspector (CQI) a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate and understand instructions in English.
- Knowledge of shop mathematics, blueprint reading, geometric tolerances, and SPC.
