Duties

Performs basic research, analysis, and evaluation duties and development assignments in one or more areas, in support of recurring weekly coordination meetings

Research applicable laws, directives, regulations, manuals, prior studies, and reports needed for evaluations; summarizes information and presents outcomes to supervisors.

The incumbent serves as coordinator and central point of contact for ODIG OCO for administrative matters and improving administrative management.

Determines the need for and/or queries the Staff on the need for new or additional equipment, supplies, and services.
Serves as central point-of-contact for administrative information, decisions and actions consistent with established policies and procedures as pertains to information governance, property, time-keeping, and acquisition.

Responsible for ensuring that ODIG OCO personnel have, upon entry into the organization, satisfied deployment requirements associated with required travel to any theater of operation respective to a current overseas contingency operation.

Coordinates with other OIG representatives to ensure accomplishment of administrative requirements as dictated by ODIG OCO.
Develops internal Component security procedures and implements as an internal control in accordance with the Management Internal Control Program ensuring that ODIG OCO meets and complies with OSEC administrative security requirements.

Serves as the primary POC for all inquiries and incoming correspondence to ODIG OCO and directs highly complex inquiries appropriately.

Resolves unusual administrative problems or assesses and recommends changes to office procedural policy to remedy conventional situations.

  • The incumbent must adhere to the DoD Standards of Conduct.

    Qualifications

    Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-09 for the GS-11 within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

    Knowledge of Administrative program goals, priorities, policies, administrative concepts and practices, and the general theory and principles of management.

    Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, drawing conclusions, devising solutions and making recommendations, and conducting evaluations of effectiveness and efficiency of operations.

    Knowledge of the relationship of organizational structure, missions and functions; and of the lines and extent of authority.

    One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-11 for the GS-12 within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
