Analyst, Reporting & Analytics

You manipulate very large data sets, provide findings on data context and quality, extract key insights from the data, and communicate actionable recommendations based upon your insights.

You use innovative, clear, and concise visuals to communicate those insights effectively. You work closely with customers and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and create requirements for new reports and dashboards.

You ensure that delivered reports meet the expectations outlined in the requirements and that on-going reporting is produced accurately and on schedule.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:


This Sr Reporting Analyst will have the creative ability to design, implement, and maintain performance and metrics-based reporting and visualization dashboard for the Underwriting and Customer Verification teams in Credit Risk.

Reports will be used to determine performance. Analyst will provide actionable insights to leadership.


Your role is to design and produce standard reports & dashboards, cubes, ad-hoc analysis, and various data visualization reporting solutions.

You are responsible for gathering and documenting new reporting requirements and will produce report specifications. You will modify and enhance existing reports based on evolving business needs. You will validate and test reports to ensure accuracy and quality. You will participate in the design and development of business intelligence reporting tools. You will provide support and training to end-users.

Specific responsibilities include:


  • Work closely with management to analyze and understand relevant data features and KPIs. Gather and document report requirements. Use reporting tools, applications, and/or queries to create and configure new reports and dashboards.
  • Gather complex data inputs from multiple sources, both internally and externally. Identify new data sources that will enhance business outcomes and support strategic and tactical objectives. Provide insight and guidance to leadership on the trends and drivers behind the results and prepare reports on findings.
  • Create and publish dashboards and scorecards related to team KPIs, TfB Retail activations, Consumer and Business Customer Verification. Output results used for performance measurement.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining adhoc and recurring processes to support program objectives.
  • Develop insightful data visualization for business leaders
  • Complete complex ad-hoc research, analysis, and reporting. Serves as a subject-matter expert on the team.
  • Support monthly quality reviews with reporting and analysis
  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.
  • Develop and produce standard reports and dashboards, cubes, ad-hoc analysis, and data extracts. Ensure delivery meets agreed upon requirements.
  • Partner with customers and stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to analyze and understand relevant data features and KPIs.
  • Gather data inputs from multiple sources. Automate data extracts and reporting refreshes. Ensure data and reporting integrity.
  • Manage day-to-day support issues ensuring effective and timely resolution. Resolve and track user issues. Design, specify, test, and document modifications and functional enhancements.
  • Create and maintain operational requirements and standards documentation.
  • Deliver functional scope analysis and detailed solution design of the processes and reporting systems.
  • Foster relationships with key cross-functional partners and internal stakeholders. Establish strong partnerships to obtain desired results.
  • Support cross-functional partners to problem solve and implement solutions.
  • Assist with analysis, design, and testing of various enhancements and changes to data/reports.
  • Conduct trouble shooting for reporting anomalies and build safeguards for correct data in reporting.
  • Track and communicate project risks, team activities and project status to management and stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.

Job Requirements:


  • In-depth, demonstrated advanced Excel and SQL experience.
  • Hands-on experience with reporting solutions such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Excellent visual skills and demonstrable design knowledge; expertise with charting and other data visualization techniques.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
  • Strong analytical skills (recommendations, scenarios, insights backed with data).
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot data inaccuracies, identify root causes, and take corrective action.
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills
