Salary Range (final salary offer is based on a number of factors, such as certifications, experience, and more):

$21.00-$24.00/hour

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in social service or other relevant field. Applicants without a Bachelor's degree will be considered if they have extensive relevant experience specifically in the area of certification, contract compliance monitoring, reporting, and Department of Mental Health approved evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office Suite or similar products, especially Excel or comparable software.
  • Must maintain a valid California driver's license, insurance and driving record which complies with agency's insurance carrier standards.
  • Must pass all applicable health, fingerprint/LiveScan and DMV clearances.
JOB PURPOSE:

The Compliance Specialist supports the mission of the Child & Family Center and clinic operations, quality assurance, and compliance activities through oversight of Agency certifications and contractual and regulatory monitoring and reporting requirements. The Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the Agency complies with legal regulatory standards, procedures, and policies. Responsibilities include documenting and evaluating compliance activities, recommending solutions, and delivering coaching/training on compliance matters. This position reports directly to the Manager of Quality & Compliance and works closely with various departments, supervisors, and direct service staff.

ESSENTIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Compliance
  1. Coordinates certifications/recertification as required by contracts (e.g., Medi-Cal, Drug Medi-Cal, SAPC, PAVE).
  2. Assists with meeting Agency evidence-based practices (EBP) needs. This includes but is not limited to:
    1. Organizing, monitoring, and reporting EBP training.
    2. Tracking and managing training compliance documentation.
    3. Track, analyze, and disseminate outcome measure reports as needed and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  3. Assists with data submission to meet external contractual and regulatory needs, ensuring integrity and validity of data (e.g., OMA, EPSDT, NAPPA).
  4. Support external applications and updates submitted to local and state entities.
  5. Assists with continuous readiness activities and TJC accreditation survey preparation.
  6. Attends meetings as needed to ensure Agency compliance with contractual requirements and provide actionable variance data, ensure appropriate interpretation of information, and elicit information needs.
  7. Assist QTC Team in the organization of information; this includes but is not limited to organizing, filing, labeling, purging, and tracking client records.
  8. Maintain current knowledge of healthcare quality and compliance standards, trends, regulations, and laws.
Quality
  1. Participates in dissemination and documentation of performance metrics to measure success, such as Client Satisfaction Surveys, Program monitoring. Evaluates effectiveness of processes/programs implemented.
  2. Serves as forms administrator to maintain the master Forms Table of Contents and database.
  3. Identifies need for changes to workflow procedures and/or system configuration modifications.
  4. Supports opportunities for improvement in the EHRS to support quality and compliance initiatives.
Training
  1. Develops training materials and demonstrates excellent communication skills to train staff as needed.
  2. Coordinates team/project activities and schedules.
  3. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to organize training, as needed.
Other
  1. Works effectively and cooperatively with other Agency staff, collaborating when appropriate.
  2. Performs other relevant duties as assigned within competency and scope of work.
WORK SCHEDULE:

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt - Full Time

Work-Week: Sunday - Saturday
  • Actual work schedule as agreed with Direct Supervisor and based on business/program needs.
  • Work Schedule subject to change based on Center's needs.
  • Must work onsite at least two days per week.
