DescriptionA compliance specialist is responsible for ensuring that a company or organization follows all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

They work to identify and mitigate potential risks of non-compliance and develop policies to ensure that the company operates in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

Compliance specialists monitor and document compliance activities, advise leadership and management on compliance matters, and liaise with government agencies.

They may also be responsible for delivering employee training, evaluating compliance activities, and acting as a liaison between the organization and various government agenciesEducation & ExperienceAt least 2 years of experience in the field of Behavioral Health, Health Caregiving or SUD fieldRequires familiarity of office procedures and practices.

Strong computer skills required, including but not limited to:
Microsoft Office, Excel, Publisher, Outlook and Explorer.
Ability to file and operate standard office equipmentAbility to manage multiple projects with efficiency and ensuring timelines are met.
Alcohol and Drug Registration/Certification required or EMT/MA/LVN or Certified Risk & Compliance Management Professional (CRCMP) preferred.
Experience in alcohol and drug population preferredKnowledge of laws, legal codes, procedures, and other relevant regulatory standards.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Documenting and reporting skills.
Attention to detail.

Pay & BenefitsAt Janus, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.

This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

The base pay range for this role is between $25.00 and $28.00 per hour and your base pay will be considered on your job-related skills, training, qualifications, experience, and relevant education.
