Maintenance Planner

About the Role:
  • Job Summary:
    The Maintenance Planner ensures equipment capability, reliability, and availability to support customer needs. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and communicating with the maintenance and operations team to meet work order completion targets.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    Individual Contributor
  • Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Conduct all actions with a Safety-First mindset
    • Promote compliance with company policies and government regulations
    • Maximize operating effectiveness through planned maintenance
    • Prepare planned work in advance for optimal completion
    • Work on maintenance schedule improvements
    • Maintain an organized weekly schedule
    • Collaborate on improvement projects with the CI team
    • Build relationships with customers and vendors
    • Review parts usage and inventory
    • Manage repair shop processes
    • Follow system downtime escalation guidelines
    • Participate in team meetings for effective communication

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to coordinate multiple resources
  • Understanding of automated equipment
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and OSHA Safety guidelines

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Education and Experience:
    • Required: High school diploma with 1-3 years' experience in maintenance
    • Preferred: Associates degree with 3-5 years' experience in industrial maintenance
    • Familiarity with automated manufacturing systems preferred
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Work at heights, adapt to temperature variations, lift/carry materials, walk/stand during shifts, lift up to 50 lbs
    • Occasional travel within North America and internationally may be required
    • Be available 24/7 for irregular operations
