Role SummaryThe Maintenance Planner is tasked with the planning, scheduling, and coordination of all maintenance operations within our facility. This position is vital for guaranteeing that production activities proceed without interruption, reducing downtime, and maximizing equipment performance. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in industrial maintenance, particularly in preventative maintenance, work order management, and continuous improvement strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance Scheduling: Create and oversee comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules to ensure the optimal functioning and durability of equipment.
- Work Order Oversight: Draft, prioritize, and manage work orders, ensuring the prompt execution of all maintenance tasks.
- CMMS Utilization: Employ the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to monitor work orders, manage spare parts inventory, and maintain precise records of maintenance activities.
- Maintenance Coordination: Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and facilitate smooth operations.
- Parts & Inventory Oversight: Ensure the availability of necessary parts and supplies for maintenance tasks, coordinating with suppliers as required.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify and implement strategies for process enhancements to boost equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance Assurance: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts usage, and equipment performance metrics.
- Experience: 5-10 years in industrial maintenance, with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance and work order management.
- Industry Experience: Background in food and beverage manufacturing is highly advantageous.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in CMMS systems and knowledgeable in maintenance parts and inventory management.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency optimization.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to Detail: Diligent in documentation and record-keeping.
- A degree or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
