Responsibilities:

Cypress Creek Hospital is a free-standing 128-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in north Houston, TX, and minutes south of The Woodlands. Cypress Creek Hospital features individual units for adolescents and adults and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Cypress Creek Hospital. We are comprised of a tenured dedicated team of Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers, Mental Health Technicians and Support Staff where delivering compassionate care is our mission.

We currently have an opportunity for a Business Office Representative (Biller/Charge Poster/Cash Poster).
***The Business Office Representative prepares insurance claims (to carriers and guarantors) in an accurate and timely manner. Ensures timely charge posting, daily revenue and bridge spreadsheets. Maintains an efficient patient account audit process ensuring all actions are accurate and timely. Interacts with patients, families, medical, clinical and hospital staff in a professional manner, promoting Service Excellence. Assists with other duties as assigned, including special projects and/or cross-training as required.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Edits and submits to clearinghouse all accounts identified as billready in MS
  • Ensures claim information is accurate and submits claims either electronically or via mail to correct payors.
  • Enters outpatient charges daily.
  • Reconciles all payments/refunds daily.
  • Ensures posting of all cash, checks and credit card payments are posted to correct accounts. Maintains daily backup.
  • Audits accounts to ensure accurate postings and adjustments. Reclassifies accounts as needed.
  • Interacts with patients, coworkers and physicians in a professional manner promoting Service Excellence.
  • Performs other duties as requested or required.
  • Works in a detailed manner, multitasks and manages time.
  • Complete any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Business Office Representative (Biller/Charge Poster/Cash Poster) Job Requirements**:

  • High School Diploma or GED, some college in related field preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year hospital business office experience required.
