Position Role Type:
HybridThis temporary position as a Low Observable (LO) Engineer will lead Radar Cross Section (RCS) design, analysis, and measurements tests of developmental and production systems.
The LO Engineer is expected to perform RCS predictions and should be familiar with limitations of Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM).
Deliverables will include test documentation, data analysis, anomaly resolution, results documentation, and presentation of results to both internal and external customers.
The candidate will work in integrated product teams to incorporate advanced signature control techniques into deliverable products and aid in the assessment of system performance.
Note that occasional non-standard work shifts may be expected during testing. This position will be a hybrid role in Tucson, AZ.Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Responsible for training & development of early and mid-career engineersDocument all activities pertaining to test preparation, data analysis, design trades, prediction resultsLead an integrated product teams and support all aspects of that team's design effortsPresent results of testing, analysis, and design efforts to internal and external customersOccasional travel for business, training, and conferences
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) (Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or other Engineering discipline) with a minimum 12 years of engineering experience working with Low Observable (LO) technologyExperience with Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM)Experience performing RCS measurement/testing, prediction, and/or designActive and transferable U.S.
government issued security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S.citizens are eligible for a security clearanceExperience with TTF_Tools data processing software and FORTRANPreferred Qualifications:
Multiple tests of LO targets on ground plane ranges and compact rangesAbsorber material treatments / design and testing experience (coatings, paint, MAGRAM)
Academic or applied experience utilizing RF testing techniques, terminology, test equipment and understanding of electromagnetic fundamentalsExperience with Infrared signature analysis and controlProgramming expertise in C++, MATLAB, or other technical language is desirableAdvanced radar system development or test experiencePresentation skills and ability to communicate with peers, executives and customersWorking knowledge of computational electromagnetic codes to include full wave codes, as well as asymptotic techniques using industry standard tools such as XPATCH or SENTRiAdvanced Degree:
