Position Purpose:
The Senior Supply and Demand Planner is responsible for ensuring a balance between supply and demand for a range of products in the US, Canada, and Australia. This role involves forecasting, adjusting system settings, and establishing production strategies to support business operations and the supply chain. Collaboration with various teams is essential to incorporate key factors affecting demand, such as enrollment trends, commercial initiatives, and product launches.
The Senior Planner also plays a crucial role in overseeing operational activities that cater to global markets, product introductions, and marketing promotions. Working closely with Field and Marketing departments, the planner assesses feasibility, anticipates supply chain impacts, devises risk mitigation tactics, and tracks sales and inventory in real-time.
This position offers the opportunity to present findings and insights to senior management during monthly S&OP meetings, providing valuable inputs on financial risks and opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Review historical sales data and demand patterns to construct statistical forecast models for a comprehensive monthly forecast.
- Collaborate with various teams to grasp business strategies and factors influencing demand, translating these insights into a strategic forecast.
- Perform scenario analyses to evaluate risks and recommend operational decisions, communicating findings and necessary actions to stakeholders.
- Identify risks and opportunities within supply and demand plans, proposing actionable insights during S&OP meetings.
- Create supply plans using MRP systems, optimizing stock levels, considering factors like demand, lead times, and shelf-life.
- Coordinate with global 3PL partners to manage production, inventory, and components, maintaining continuity in the supply chain.
- Ensure data accuracy in Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Master Data for precise purchase recommendations and optimal MRP parameters.
- Collaborate with Procurement and New Product Introduction teams to develop buying strategies and safety stock levels, summarizing impacts through the S&OP process.
- Provide updates on launch and promotional activities, offer insights on forecast assumptions and supply status, and communicate proactive risk mitigation plans.
- Identify areas for process enhancement in planning procedures and recommend improvement plans.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Forecasting and Supply Chain Planning, preferably in beauty, CPG, or regulated industries.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with a passion for solving complex challenges.
- Experience handling high-complexity SKUs in a global setting.
- Familiarity with SAP ECC or similar Supply Chain ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Query, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced and dynamically changing business environment.
