Who You Are::

As the Housing Counseling Intake Coordinator at WRO, Inc. you will serve as the initial point of contact for individuals seeking housing counseling services.

You will be responsible for conducting intake assessments, gathering relevant information, and ensuring that clients are connected with the appropriate housing counselor.

This role is crucial in ensuring that our clients receive timely and effective assistance.

What You'll Do::

Act as the first point of contact for individuals seeking housing counseling services.

Conduct initial assessments and intake interviews with clients to gather information about their housing needs and challenges.

Provide information and resources to clients regarding available housing programs, eligibility criteria, and application processes.

Collaborate with Housing Counselors to schedule appointments for clients and ensure a smooth intake process.

Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation.

Assist in organizing and facilitating housing workshops and informational sessions relevant to the local communities.

Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, or in-person meetings with professionalism and empathy.

Stay informed about current housing policies, programs, and resources to effectively assist clients.

Assist in tracking and reporting program data to support grant applications and funding requirements.

Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

What You Bring::

High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field preferred.

Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in housing counseling or social services, is a plus.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients.

Empathy and a commitment to helping individuals facing housing challenges.

Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.

Knowledge of housing programs, government assistance, and community resources is desirable.

Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish a plus.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
