  • Contribute to the implementation of company-wide programs and initiatives, encompassing workforce planning, performance management, training and development, and organizational change.
  • Offer insights to the human resources management team in formulating, interpreting, and recommending HR program objectives, policies, procedures, and actionable strategies.
HR Administration
  • Act as the primary point of contact for addressing general employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, benefits, forms, etc. on-site.
  • Prepare and maintain FAQ lists, both in hard copy and electronic formats, covering a range of employee categories.
  • Handle onboarding and New Hire Orientation processes, which include background checks, e-Verify, and I-9 verification at the site.
  • Manage voluntary and involuntary terminations, conduct exit interviews, address EEOC and state unemployment charges, compile statistical reports, and input relevant employee data into HR systems (ADP and IFS).
Business Partnership and Strategy
  • Work closely with the regional team to gain a comprehensive understanding of the objectives and goals of client group(s) and ensure the alignment of HR strategies and programs with broader organizational objectives.
  • Execute workforce planning post appropriate approvals, which entails activities such as hiring, terminations, promotions, etc.
Employee Relations
  • Provide guidance on employee engagement, rewards and recognition, and progressive discipline, collaborating with the HR team to formulate strategies for enhancing employee and management effectiveness, performance, and satisfaction.
  • Consult with employees and managers to identify and address the root causes of human resources issues, mediate conflicts, and resolve employee relation matters through a systematic approach.
  • Participate in the investigation of formal employee complaints, recommend the company's response, and collaborate with Legal to minimize liability exposure.
Performance Management
  • Collaborate with the regional team to assist managers in remedying performance issues, implementing corrective action methods, and ensuring follow-ups on resolutions/improvements.
  • Guide local managers through the annual performance appraisal process, review draft performance appraisals, provide feedback, and suggest revisions to ensure rating consistency throughout the company.
Recruitment
  • Support staffing endeavors with the Regional Talent Acquisition Specialist by advising managers on contributing to the annual staffing plan, drafting offers, overseeing onboarding, and leading new hire orientation.
Compliance
  • Verify that business leaders make decisions in compliance with company policies and legal requirements at local, state, and federal levels. Contribute to the preparation of data for HR federal and local reporting and compliance activities in the US.
  • Ensure timely placement of all legal postings in designated areas as per established timelines.
Benefits Administration
  • Collaborate with colleagues on the annual benefits enrollment process and aid in resolving claims-related issues.
Projects
  • Engage in divisional projects for the region, oversee social media activities for the site, and support various other HR-related duties as delegated.
Critical Competencies for Success
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or business-related discipline or completion of a Human Resources Certification program coupled with relevant work experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of pertinent HR experience, including analytics, special projects, and social media involvement.
  • Prior experience in supporting manufacturing operations highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish, written and oral, would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrable business acumen and strategic outlook, particularly in aligning HR with business strategies and objectives.
  • Strong organizational development and consultative skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) and experience with ADP Workforce Now and e-Time preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal abilities, and the knack for collaborating with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision.
