State Fire has grown from a 3-person operation to a regional fire service company servicing customers in Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Texas, Colorado and Wyoming. State Fire employs more than 150 trained and licensed managers and technicians.

State Fire is a family-owned business with room to grown Our goal is to grow nationwide so that means there are many opportunities for the employees to grow and prosper.

State Fire is looking for a new team member to help build and service the Southeast US operations. We have openings for a Fire Extinguisher Technician in the San Antonio and central Texas areas. No experience necessary but you must be a self-starter and be able to work without micromanagement. Our technicians work in the mining industry. This is a great career for someone that loves to work outdoors and can manage their time. This position travels Monday through Friday 50% of the time. Rate of pay negotiable based on experience.

Requirements:

This position is responsible for, but not limited to:
Perform inspections on fire extinguishers per manufactures recommendations located in buildings, outdoors, on heavy equipment, etc.
Requires visually noting dates for required services.
Weighing the extinguisher.
Performing the required service, i.e.: 6 yr or hydro test, etc.
Install fire extinguisher per manufactures recommendations.

Requires mounting system brackets on walls or equipment.

Qualifications:
Be able to use standard hand/battery operated tools.
Basic computer and software skills.
Basic knowledge of mobile devices and applications.

Ability to work independently or with little to no supervision.
Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written to superiors, subordinates, and customers.
Provide excellent customer service to State Fire employees and customers.
Ability to be able to work flexible hours.
Ability to be on-call (per company schedule).
Must have and maintain a valid driver license, with acceptable driving record.
Must have and maintain an acceptable National Criminal Background Check.

Physical Requirements:
This position will require the following: Sitting, standing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping for prolonged periods.
The ability to operate a motor vehicle, to visit job sites, customers, and suppliers.
The ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs.
The ability to move about in areas with limited space and difficult access.
Must be able to safely lift, transport and place objects up to 70 pounds without assistance.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors.

We provide a company truck and all the tools you need to perform your job. We almost never work on the weekends or after hours. We cover all travel expenses, including hotels and meals.
