Position Summary: The Fire Suppression Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, servicing, and repair of fire extinguishers and pre-engineered suppression systems with minimal supervision. We provide training to help you obtain the necessary certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize required tools and testing equipment, including power machines, groovers, cutters, and lifts, to repair or replace fire extinguishers and components of suppression and alarm systems.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of NFPA codes, standards, and systems related to fire extinguishers and suppression systems.
  • Troubleshoot and identify defective components within suppression systems.
  • Repair or replace damaged components of suppression systems and fire extinguishers.
  • Maintain professional communication with internal and external clients.
  • Adhere to punctuality and complete scheduled projects efficiently.
  • Employ Field Service Lightning to track work orders, materials, and job duration.
  • Document work orders accurately.
  • Follow the company’s safety protocols and participate in weekly safety discussions.
  • Ensure the company vehicle is maintained in accordance with company policies.
  • Be available for on-call status to address emergency service requests as needed.
  • Attend educational seminars to stay updated on technology, codes, and standards.
  • Train new service technician trainees in relevant job aspects.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
