Duties:
In collaboration with the Manager of Clinical Operations for Patient Placement, Nursing Unit Clinical Managers and the Directors of Patient Care Services, is responsible for the proactive planning, implementation and coordination of daily patient placement and throughput activities to maximize available bed space and access.
Works collaborative with all patient care departments and ancillary departments to assure census goals are met throughout strategic placement of patients based on the Bed Management Plan and Patient Population Guidelines.
Provides input and collaboration in determining needs flex or open or close units to volume demands.Requirements:
An Associates of Nursing is required. A Bachelor is preferred. 1-2 years of Bed Management and Patient Placement experience. Professional License with State of Practice is required. National Certification is preferred. CCRN, UM, or CCM Certification is desirable.
