Safe Ambulance/Safe Dependable Care is a private medical transportation service dedicated to providing essential care for elderly patients. Our team transports dialysis patients, facilitates discharges, and assists with doctor appointments across Georgia, North Carolina, and Alabama.

Emergency Medical Technician - Patient Care Specialist Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent supplemented by college-level course work.
  • EMT-I Certification from a recognized EMT training program and EMT-Intermediate Certification from the State of Georgia.
  • Must be insurable by Safe Ambulance driver's insurance policy
  • Successfully passed physical examination including Functional Capacity Exam lifting up to 200 lbs safely with assistance.
  • Legible handwriting and ability to use electronic reporting equipment.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-aid treatment and life-support care to sick or injured persons in pre-hospital settings.
  • Possess manual, visual, and audio-metric acuity to operate equipment such as EKGs, external defibrillators, and bag-valve-mask resuscitators in advanced life-support environments.
  • Perform or assist in the initial assessment and management of illness or injury to emergency patients in accordance with specified protocols and procedures.
  • Assess the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures.
  • Maintain vehicles and medical and communication equipment, replenishing first-aid equipment and supplies.
  • Observe, record, and report to the physician the patient's condition or injury, the treatment provided, and reactions to drugs and treatment.
  • Perform emergency diagnostic and treatment procedures, such as stomach suction, airway management, and heart monitoring during ambulance rides.
  • Coordinate work with other emergency medical team members and healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and dispatch personnel.

  • Commitment to patient safety and well-being.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Current EMT-Intermediate Certification from the State of Georgia.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
