Junior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Junior Accountant for one of our growing clients in the Cincinnati area. Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of accounting and experience and a degree in accounting or finance is highly preferred. Pay will depend on experience and education within a range of $21/hr. and $27/hr. This position is onsite and Temp to Hire.

Job Duties:

  • Process and reconcile invoices received from vendors.
  • Verify and match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
  • Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Resolve discrepancies and issues with vendors regarding invoices or payments.
  • Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process customer refunds or adjustments as necessary.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger records.
  • Record journal entries for various transactions, including accruals and adjustments.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in inventory management processes, including reconciling inventory counts to general ledger records.
  • Record inventory transactions and adjustments accurately.
  • Assist in analyzing inventory variances and investigating discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Provide support during the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare financial reports for internal stakeholders as requested.
  • Assist in providing information and documentation for internal and external audits.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Pay Details: $21.00 to $27.00 per hour
