Position: Junior Financial AccountantRole Overview

The Junior Financial Accountant will undertake a range of essential tasks:

  • Preparing tax documentation for diverse clients, including federal, state, and municipal taxes, along with year-end payroll processing.
  • Assisting in the preparation of compiled and reviewed financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other established accounting standards.
  • Conducting necessary research on IRS regulations and GAAP Guidelines.
  • Supporting the development of client budgets, analyzing variances against actual figures, and performing financial ratio assessments.
  • Overseeing company accounts, which entails data entry, managing accounts payable and receivable, creating depreciation schedules, and reconciling bank and credit card statements.
  • Addressing issues that arise from communications with the IRS and state/local tax authorities.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.
