Job Title: Staff Accountant

ReGeneration Schools is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting department. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and reports, including general ledger accounts.
  • Oversee receivables, payables, cash receipts, and cash disbursement transactions.
  • Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations, and assist with monthly close processes.
  • Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
  • Review donations and grants received, and record them in the general ledger according to non-profit accounting rules.
  • Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.
  • Maintain fixed asset and associated depreciation schedules.
  • Participate in strategic team initiatives, special projects, and other duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • 3+ years' experience in a full-time accounting position.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Excellent project and process management skills with a high degree of detail orientation.
  • Experience with accounting and billing programs, including QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage deadlines and demands.
  • Understanding of the importance of handling confidential financial information.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple entities with intercompany transactions.
  • Non-profit and education experience.
